Trekking Sapa hilltribe villages and Kayaking Halong bay (7 days)

Day 1: Overnight train to Lao Cai.

In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railways Station to take the night train to Laocai. Departure at???. Overnight on the train.

Day 2: Arrive Lao Cai. Travel to Sapa. Trekking Sapa hilltribe villages (Tram Ton – Sin Chai).

Arrive Lao Cai Railway Station early this morning. You will be picked up by Lotussia Travel local team and transferred to Sapa.

Breaffast will be provided in a local restaurant in town.

Transfer to Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views. We start descending nearby the waterfall. The trail takes you all the way downhill through bamboo forest, which belongs to Hoang Lien National Park.

Your lunch will be served at a nice spot nearby a river.

After lunch, you continue the trek to Sin Chai village of Black Hmong minority, where Community Based Tourism in Sapa takes place. You will have opportunity to explore daily life of one of the largest group ethnic minorities in Sapa area.

Day 3: Continue hiking Sapa (Sin Chai – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho)

After having breakfast, you start heading up the mountain. Once you get to the top, you will trek on a small trail with spectacular view and then gradually descend to Cat Cat village, where you will have lunch nearby a waterfall.

In the afternoon, you take a trail sneaking through mountain. You also will enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. Eventually you will arrive in Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest in a nice spot nearby the beautiful river.

The night will be spent in a local house in Y Linh Ho village.

Day 4: Continue Sapa valley trek (Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van)

Today’s trek will continue along Hoang Lien mountain range, which offers you many opportunities to enjoy view over huge rice paddy terraces in Muong Hoa valley, the largest one in the area.

After lunch at a nice spot, you descend into the bottom of the valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Tavan village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route.

You spend the night in a traditional house of Giay minority. You will be able to take a walk to enjoy the valley view as well as swim in the river nearby.

Day 5: Trekking Ta Van – Su Pan. Return Sapa town. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

Today’s trek is short, but still the landscape is beautiful. Once you get energy for your last day trek after having breakfast, you leave for Giang Ta Chai village where you can take a rest nearby a waterfall for lunch.

After passing trough the bamboo forest we will find a nice place to enjoy lunch. After lunch we continue towards Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa, then down to Lao Cai Railways Station.

Take the night train back to Hanoi. Departure ??? Overnight on the train.

Day 6: Arrive Hanoi. Travel to Halong bay. Boat junk cruise and sea kayaking tour.

Arrive early this morning in Hanoi. You will be picked up again by Lotussia Travel guide, driver and transferred to a local restaurant in town for breakfast.

At 8:30, depart to Halong Bay. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit (if weather permits). Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner.

Overnight on board junk.

Day 7: Halong bay – Hanoi.

Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City.

At 11:00, disembark at the dock at Halong City. Transfer back to Hanoi.

North Vietnam Remote Villages Trek and Overland Tour: Travel Hanoi Lao Cai Bac Ha Ha Giang Cao Bang (11 days)

Day 1: Overnight train to Lao Cai.

You come to Hanoi train station and take the night train for Laocai. Train???. Departure at ???. Overnight on board train.

Day 2: Arrive Laocai. Travel to Bac Ha.

Arrive at Lao Cai Railway station early this morning at ??? (to be confirmed). You will be greeted by Lotussia Travel local team and transferred to a local restaurant for early breakfast.

After a short rest, travel to Bac Ha. If today falls into Sunday, you will have the opportunity to visit the Bac Ha market, the biggest market in the area.

Every Sunday, different ethnic groups come to the market  to sell their homemade products or buy something for the family. They are Hmong, Phu La, Back Dzao, Tay or Nung minorities. Some of these ethnic minorities can’t be met in any other areas.

Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant in town.

In the afternoon, enjoy a short easy walk to a H’mong village near Bac Ha town.

Dinner and overnight in Bac Ha.

Day 3: Bac Ha – Ha Giang. Start trekking Ha Giang villages.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lung Phin commune where you will begin your Ha Giang trek along a narrow trail on steep hillsides.

Keep trekking until you arrive Lu Suoi Tung village where you will make a stop to have lunch (lunch can be either picnicked or prepared on the spot in a local house).

After lunch, continue trekking through the forest to the top of Ta Cu Ty mountain range (hard trek) and then downhill to a Red Dzao village.

Dinner and homestay in a stilt house.

Day 4: Continue trekking through remote hill tribe villages.

After breakfast, you will leaving the Ta Cu Ty village spending the whole morning trekking along a large path (medium trek). The trek offers great view over a Nung village.

Lunch will be provided en route.

After lunch, you will follow a narrow footpath trekking for about three more hours up and downhill through the thick forest (hard trek). Visit the rock-field with scripts carved by ancient peoples. Arrive the village around late afternoon.

Dinner and homestay in a local house.

Day 5: Continue trekking Ha Giang remote villages.

Breakfast and then leaving Nam Chien Village at 08.30am. Transfer along the paved road for 14 km over the Gio mountain pass through thick rain forest to the southern side. From here, enjoy a leisure walk for 3 hours through Nam Nhung and Khau Rom village of the Tay and Zao peoples along the narrow valley of the Nam Li River.

Cross the Nam Li River to the southern bank, trekking uphill to Quang Thuong Village and then downhill to Nam Choong Village of the Zao peoples which is beautifully set on the southern bank of Nam Li River and endowed by nature with a mineral hot spring.

Day 6: Continue trekking Ha Giang remote villages.

Today is probably the most interesting day of the whole trip for the superb scenery and wild nature which changes after every quarter trekking. But is also the greatest challenge so far.

After enjoying easy walk the the Nam Ly Valley, the trail gets tougher uphill for over an hour to Cao Son Village of the Hmong and Zao. Then, leaving the large path for a narrow trail which winds through tea farm and later thick forest aprrox.1,5 hour. Great challenging amidst wild nature! Lunch break at the top of a
mountain before getting downhill to Trung Son Village of the Nung.

Afternoon trek become easier along a narrow valley for nearly 2 hour to Tan Minh village of the Red Zao, then onto the center of Ho Thau Commune. Take an easy walk in late afternoon for 20 minutes to home stay.

Day 7: Continue trekking. Travel to Thong Nguyen.

It is an easy day today.

Leaving home stay after breakfast and trekking for the whole morning along a narrow but rather good trail through Ho Thau Valley passing charming villages of the Zao and Nung ethnic peoples scattering on hill sides.

Long lunch break near Nam Son Bridge with swimming possibility in the clear water of the Nam Dich River.
Picked up and transfer by road to Panhou ecolodge at Thong Nguyen Commune.

The rest of the afternoon is set at leisure for freshen up or walking to explore the surrounding of Panhou.

Day 8: Thong Nguyen – Bac Me.

After breakfast, you continue your trip driving to the top of the mountain where you make a short stop for great view of the region. Then descend to the lowland.

After about one hour drive, you will arrive Nam An, used to be a narrow and deep valley, built into a lake for water storage to run a hydraulic power plant and now has become spectacular lake with a peninsular for eco-tourist sport.

Spend an hour walking around the lake visiting a local Red Zao village.

Lunch will be provided in a local silt house.

Continue your road trip to Ha Giang town, and then on to Bac Me.

Arriving in Bac Me town around late afternoon, check into a local guesthouse for overnight.

Day 9: Bac Me – Meo Vac – Dong Van.

Check out hotel at 08.00 and depart for Meo Vac.

The first portion of the road weaves its way along the the Gam river amongst high mountains and thick forests. Crossing the Gam river and following the newly built road, you will arrive Niem Son commune where we will spend almost an hour visiting the local market (if any) and a small village of the H’mong ethnic peoples.
Drive uphill through the remote and deserted region to Meo Vac. Getting close to Meo Vac, there appeared some small hamlets of the H’mong built on the immense limestone hill sides. Stop for visiting one of these hamlets for the first impression of the very hard life on this mysterious limestone highland.

Arriving in Meo Vac at noon, take a quick look at the market (if Sunday)and lunch break.

After Lunch, visit a small village of the Lolo, an ethnic group with only about 4,700 peoples near the town before leaving Meo Vac . Then continue driving to Dong Van.

Check into a local hotel for overnight.

Day 10: Dong Van – Lung Cu – Vuong Palace – Pho Bang – Yen Minh – Quan Ba.

Check out hotel at 08.00 and drive to Lung Cu. Visit a village of the H’mong ethnic and a village of the Red Lolo in Lung Cu then move on to the Vuong Family Palace once ruled over the H’mong in the region and popularly known as King of the H’mong.

Then travel to Pho Bang ancient town. Walking for about an hour to explore this town which is featured with two storey wooden houses, clay walled, Yin and Yang tiled roofs and leisure atmosphere.

Leaving Pho Bang, you travel downhill to Yen Minh town where your lunch will be provided in a local restaurant in town.

After lunch, drive uphill of a long and high mountain pass. Take a break at the foot of the pass and visit a village of the La Chi, another small ethnic group with only over 3,000 individuals in Vietnam whose culture is really unique and strong.

Arrive in Quan Ba around late afternoon. Check in hotel for freshen up and relax. Overnight in Quan Ba.

Day 11: Quan Ba – Ha Giang – Ha Noi.

Breakfast and check out hotel.

Driving uphill to the top of Quan Ba mountain pass, stop for admiring the great view of Quan Ba valley. Then driving few kilometers further for visiting two more hill tribe villages – one village of the H’mong with traditional living style of the highlander ethnics and the other, a village of the Kinh peoples immigrated to the region in 1980s.

Driving for another hour and take a coffee stop at Ha Giang town before continue your journey back to Hanoi.

Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant en route.

Arrive in Hanoi in late afternoon. End trip.

North-Vietnam Multisport Tour Travel Hanoi Tam Coc Mai Chau Cao Son Sapa Halong bay (8 days)

Day 1: Hanoi – Tam Coc, Ninhbinh.

Depart for Ninh Binh.

Visit the two remaining sanctuaries of the ancient citadel of Dinh & Le in Hoa Lu.

Travel to Tam Coc where we will have lunch before taking a 2-hour boat trip along the Boi river. The river trip in Thung Nang is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local people come to harvest the water rice planted along the river, or when they transplant some seedling for the next crops.

After the boat trip, enjoy a half hour easy cycle around Tam Coc before checking-in hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Tam Coc – Mai Chau.

Transfer to Kenh Ga – “The Chicken Canal” for another boat trip along the Hoang Long river to experience the real life of a Vietnamese catholic community. Set on the banks of the Hoang Long River, Kenh Ga is a remarkable place, not only because it is surrounded by the same massive rocks that dominate Hoa Lu, but also because for most of the year the entire community lives on the water itself. The floating village of Kenh Ga receives relatively few visitors compared to nearby Hoa Lu and the peoples’ aquatic way of life has changed little over the centuries.

After the boat trip, continue our journey to Mai Chau valley where we stop for overnight.

In the evening, assist to the traditional music and dance show which is performed by the Thai young girls and boys who all come from the village. Try also some rice alcohol which is made of traditional plants and local sticky rice.

Day 3: Maichau – Hanoi. Overnight train to Laocai.

Breakfast will be provided in a Thai stilt house. Then we leave the village for a half day walking around. We will pass many different Thai hamlets, through rice fields, hill sides…We will stop by some local houses to talk with local people to understand their customs and culture.

After lunch, we will take our journey back to Hanoi.

Enjoy one-hour body massage in one of the most luxury spa salon in town before take the overnight train to Lao Cai.

Day 4: Arrive Lao Cai. Travel to Cao Son. Visit Cao son market. Trek Cao Son villages.

Arrive in Lao Cai Railway station early this morning. You will be welcome by Lotussia local guide, driver then transferred to a local restaurant in Lao Cai city for breakfast and short rest before proceeding to Cao Son region. Stop en route for photos.

You will join the Cao Son trekking stream of people from Lung Khau Nhin and some nearby villages heading to Cao Son. Free to discover the market with our tour guide. Heading for the lunch in Cao Son Ecolodge. In the afternoon, visit the primitive forest in La Pan Tan commune. Back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Travel to Sapa. Hiking Sapa villages.

After breakfast, transfer to Sapa. We will arrive in Sapa around noon. Check-in hotel and have your lunch in a local restaurant in town.

In the afternoon, there will be a walking tour to a H’mong hill tribe village of Ma Tra (or Cat Cat). As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area.

Overnight  in Sapa.

Day 6: Continue trekking Sapa. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

After breakfast, we will travel by car downhill to Mong Sen where we start a dirt trail through rice fields and villages. Enjoy spectacular view along the way.

Your picnic lunch will be provided on spot.

After lunch, we continue our trek downhill towards Taphin village inhabited by Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities. These are two largest ethnic groups living in Sapa area. Stop by some house to meet local people and talk with them to understand their culture, customs and traditions. Late afternoon, we will trek back to to main road to get on our vehicle for the journey to Laocai railways station.

Day use will be provided in a standard hotel before taking the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 7: Arrive Hanoi. Travel to Halong bay. Boat junk cruise with kayaking tour.

Arrive in Hanoi early this morning, transfer to the Morning Flower Market for a short visit before departing to Halong Bay.

Breakfast will be provided in a local restaurant en route.

Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Day 1: Hanoi – Laocai by train.

In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train trip to Laocai. Overnight on board train.

Day 2: Arrive Laocai. Visit Lung Khau Nhin market. Travel to Sapa.

Arrive Laocai early this morning, around 5:00 (to be confirmed). You will be welcome by our local team then transferred to a local restaurant in town for short rest and early breakfast.

At 8:00, travel to Lung Khau Nhin market. Every Thursday, Flower Hmong, Tu Di, Tay and Giay ethnic groups come to the market to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. After visiting the market, we can have a short walk to a Black Dao village before driving back to Muong Khuong for lunch. After lunch, get on our vehicle again and drive to Sapa.

Overnight in Sapa.

Day 3: Trekking Sapa hilltribe villages.

Breakfast at hotel. Leaving Sapa, we will begin the two-day trek through rice paddy terraces and corn fields. Your picnic lunch will be provided on the spot. After lunch, we continue our Sapa trek downhill towards Taphin village where you will meet Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities, two largest ethnic groups in Sapa area. Stop by a house to talk with local people to know a bit more about their daily life, their customs and tradition.

Have dinner and overnight in the village.

Day 4: Continue hiking. Return Sapa town. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

After breakfast, continue our trek towards Sapa, we will pass through several hill tribe villages and rice paddy terraces along the way. Upon arriving in Matra village inhabited by Black Hmong people, we will stop for our lunch. Then, we continue our walk to Sapa.

Have a short rest/shower before transfer to Lao Cai Railway Station and get the night train back to Hanoi. Train? Departure at 20:30 (to be confirmed). Overnight on board train.

Day 5: Arrive Hanoi. Travel to Halong bay. Boat junk cruise with kayaking tour.

Arrive in Hanoi early this morning, you will be picked up by another Lotussia Travel guide, driver and transferred to a local restaurant in town for breakfast.

After a short rest, depart to Halong Bay. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Victory junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Day 6: Continue cruising in Halong bay with kayaking activity.

Breakfast on board. Then we continue our cruise; Taking one more hour kayaking before getting back to the support boat for lunch.

In the afternoon, we cruise towards the Islands of Rocks and visit the Fishermen floating village. We will kayak in Ba Men temple area which is also a important highlight of our journey. Swimming at the sandy Three Peach beach if weather permits and enjoy the great view of Halong bay sunset.

Dinner and overnight on board junk.

Day 7: Halong bay – Hanoi.

Breakfast will be served early on board while the boat is going back to shore. Arrive at Ha long wharf about 11h00 and take our car for our journey back to Hanoi.

Enjoy one-hour massage package in one of most finest spa salon in town – A full body massage both invigorating and relaxing. This massage helps to reduce tension, soothe sore muscles and increase circulation.

In the evening, attend to the water puppet show, one of famous Vietnamese traditional art.

Day 8: Fly to Da Nang. Travel to Hoian ancient town.

Transfer to Noibai airport for a short flight to Danang.

Welcome at Danang airport by Lotussia Travel team and then escorted to your hotel in Hoian ancient town.

In the afternoon, start exploring this small ancient town, first commercial center in Vietnam since the 15th century, with more than 800 classified buildings, visiting Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Old house, Assembly Hall Chinese. Phuc Kien Pagoda, Hoian Museum and Market.

Overnight in Hoian.

Day 9: Cham island diving tour.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our diving adventure team and transferred to the boat pier. Leaving the coast, you will be explained by our diving instructor about the theories of diving and practical advises. Arrival at the Cham islands and enjoy one discover scuba dive with a certified PADI Instructor.
Transfer to Bai Chong  beach for lunch.

In the afternoon, just stay free at leisure to enjoy the beach activities such as swimming, walking or simply relaxing. Return to mainland and transfer back to the hotel.

Day 10: Travel to Danang. Fly to Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon).

Transfer to Da Nang airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh city. VN ??? Departure at ??? (to be confirmed).

You will be greeted by our local team at Tan Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh city) and transferred to hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy a half day city tour with Ho Chi Minh City most wanted highlights such as the Post Office, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Reunification palace. Then continue towards Cholon for a quick visit of Thien Hau temple and the Binh Tay market.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 11: Day trip to the Mekong Delta.

Our one day cruise excursion starts from Ho Chi Minh with a drive to Cai Be – Phu An where we will board the Cai Be Princess at around 10.00 am. The tour will start with the visit of Cai Be colorful floating market. We will proceed by the visit of some local home factories such as rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, and longans drying processing.

The trip continues along the Mekong canals to Dong Hoa Hiep Island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be. During this cruise you will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. Stops on the way can be made upon request for particular visits or photos making. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people.

Lunch awaits you at Le Longanier restaurant at La Residence de Phu An resort, a superb Indochine style resort. After a short walk along a narrow canal, the excursion will end at around 3.30pm where the vehicle will await you for your transfer back to Saigon.

Day 12: Fly to Nha Trang. Nhatrang beach resort.

Vietnam and Cambodia Multisport Adventure Vacations (17 days)

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau.

Leaving Hanoi and breaking out of the delta plains we pass through endless limestone karst scenery as we travel south through “Perfume Pagoda” country and extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads.

After a picnic lunch near Chi Ne, we visit the hot springs at Kim Boi, before striking northwest and over two passes, finally dropping down to the mountain valley settlement of Mai Chau. Here we stay overnight with friends of the White Thai minority in a traditional stilt house.

In the evening, after feasting, we can enjoy a cultural show of Thai dancing and a range of special local liquors.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Son La.

We backtrack on the main a few kilometres before embarking on a new road which drops down the side of a huge valley, steadily falling all the way back down to the Black River Reservoir. The 50 kilometres route has plenty of challenging surface and is prone to landslides. Much of the area is inhabited by Kinh and both Black and White Thai ethnicities.

Depending on time we can complete another side road which rises up the opposite side of the valley, offering impressive views over the area on a clear day. On good road looking high over distant mountains we head up into a forested region populated by H’mong people before descending into a mountainous tea-growing region. Soon after we follow a long valley floor covered in a sea of rice surrounded by Black Thai villages all the way to Son La with its bargain-filled market.

Day 3: Son La – Dien Bien.

Continuing the road no.6 to Tuan Giao after climbing the historic Phadin Pass where dominated by the H’mong people. Many stop for picture.

Arrive in Dien Bien Phu in the late of afternoon.

Day 4: Dien Bien – Phong Tho, Lai Chau.

Take a visit of the old French battle field, we will be heading out northwest from Dien Bien Phu the road passes isolated communities of H’mong and Thai people, whose small villages settle the bans of dark green rivers and on the steep slopes of the mountains.

After lunch by a forest stream the road begins to climb up one high pass. At the top for sunset before dropping sharply into the deep Lai Chau valley.

Overnight in Phong Tho.

Day 5: Phong Tho – Sapa.

If the days are right then we can visit one of three busy hill tribe markets as we head straight towards the main Fansipan Mountain range. The massive mountain range dominates the road until finally we must make a splendid climb up from Binh Lu and up to the top of the highest road pass in Vietnam (Tram Ton Pass). Crossing into Lao Cai Province at over 2000m the views looks out over the main range for miles and miles, before we descend to the mountainous Sa Pa valley.

Day 6: Hiking Sapa one day.

Leaving Sapa at 09.00 am, transfer 15 km along the road 4D to the Mong Sen Bridge with several stops along the way for enjoying spectacular landscapes.

Trekking uphill along large dirt road  for nearly an hour, then following a narrow dirt trail winding its way on steep hill-sides along the western bank of the upstream part of Ngoi Dum River for 2 hours to an isolated hamlet of the Black H’mong people, explore these isolated hamlets of the Black H’mong, then lunch break.

Continue trekking along the same trail for nearly 1,5 hours up and downhill towards Ta Phin Valley and arrive at the center of Ta Phin Commune in mid afternoon. Take a walk around this stunning valley, paying visit to some Red Zao families, then picked up for a road ride back to Sapa.

Day 7: Visit Cao Son market. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

Leave Sapa for a 2,5 hours road journey to Cao Son Commune. The first 50 km to Muong Khuong town let offers beautiful landscapes of lush farm land, tea and pine plantation. Enjoy several stops along the way. Then turn to narrow and quiet country road along the Chay River for an hour with stunning valleys and terraced rice paddies of all sizes and shapes.

Arrive to Cao Son market at about 10.00 am. Joining local to enjoy the excitement of this weekly market. Walk from section to sections, corner to corners, seeing and smelling of different local product, spices, vegetable, farming tools, handicraft, even medicial herb…especially meeting smiling peoples every where.

Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant .

After lunch, enjoy a walk in the afternoon to Tin Thang Village of the Flower H’mong. In this village, people still distill the wine from corn, making bacon in the most basic way and hospitably at offering special corn cake to anyone who drop by their house.

Transfer back to Lao Cai Railway Station for overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 8: Arrive Hanoi. Travel to Halong bay. Boat cruise tour.

Upon your arrival at Hanoi Railways Station, you will be greeted again by our team and transferred to a local restaurant for breakfast and a short rest.

At 8:00: Depart for Halong bay. Enjoy the journey through the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong around noon and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk).

Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Round over Thien Cung cave (palace of heaven), Dau Go ( grotto of wood ), Tuan Chau island, Dog island, Dinh Huong, Ga Choi (fighting cock mountain), Turtle island. Visit Sung Sot cave and enjoy one-hour kayaking trip or have a swim at Titop beach or Soi Sim beach.

Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 9: Continue cruising and kayaking Halong bay.

Continue visiting Halong bay while the boat cruise through Man’s head island, Tortoise island. Visit Luon cave by a small bamboo rowing boat.

In the afternoon, visiting Ba Ham lake, fishery village,Cua Van, swimming at Ba Trai Dao beach. Enjoy one-hour kayak paddling on the emerald waters of Halong bay.

Day 10: Halong bay – Hanoi. Fly to Danang. Travel to Hoian.

Breakfast on board. Then we will go back to shore. Arrive at Ha long wharf at 11:00 and join our vehicle again for a 3.5hour drive back to Hanoi.

Upon your arrival in Hanoi, transfer directly to Noibai airport for onward flight to Danang.

Day 11: Visit Hoian ancien town.

In the morning, visit of this charming small town, first commercial center in Vietnam since the 15th century, with more than 800 classified buildings: Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Old house, Assembly Hall Chinese. Phuc Kien Pagoda, Hoian Museum and Market.

Day 12: Travel to Hue. Visit Hue tombs and pagoda.

After breakfast, leave Hoi An for Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. The scenic route passes through Danang before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds and dropping down to the fishing village of Lang Co.

Arrive in Hue around noon and transfer to hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda. After our boat trip we will visit the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City. This royal residence was all but destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive, however it is still fascinating to walk among the ruins. If time permits then, we will continue visiting the mausoleum of former emperor Tu Duc or Khai Dinh’s.

Day 13: Fly to Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon). City tour.

Transfer to Hue airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 14: Travel to Can Tho, the Mekong Delta.

After breakfast, transfer to My Tho.

Arrive in My Tho and enjoy the 3-hour boat trip to discover local people life with their daily work. Stop at a Con Lan islet to taste seasonal fruit and experience traditional music. Then continue to Con Quy islet, visit some home production chain of coconut candy, sweet honey bee farm, …take a chance walking on countryside road and exited riding. Rowing on small boat to return motorboat.

Transfer to Can Tho, the city considered as the  heart of the Mekong Delta.

North Vietnam overland tour: Travel Hanoi Mai Chau Tam Coc Ba Be Ha Giang Halong bay (11 days)

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau. Hiking Mai Chau valley.

Depart for Hoa Binh province and up then to Mai Chau valley. This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies.

Arrive Mai Chau around noon. Check into a local stilt-house where your lunch will also be provided.

Leave the village for a half day walking around. We will pass many different Thai hamlets, through rice fields, hill sides…We will stop by some local houses to talk with local people to understand their customs and culture.

In the evening, assist to the traditional music and dance show which is performed by The Thai young girls and boys. They all come from this village. Try also some rice alcohol made of traditional plants and local sticky rice.

Homestay in Mai Chau.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Tam Coc. River boat trip & easy countryside cycling.

After breakfast, enjoy a four hour drive to Tam Coc, also called “Ha Long Bay on land”, or the “Vietnam’s second nicest grotto” (to Huong Tich) for its poetic and inspirational natural scenery.

Arrive in Tam Coc around noon then have lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch, take a 2-hour boat trip along the Boi river. The river trip in Tam coc is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local people come to harvest the water rice planted along the river, or when they transplant some seedling for the next crops. The tourists often compare the place with Guilin – China, or more closely, to the limestone islets of Halong Bay in the Tonkin Gulf for their similar geological structures and shapes.

Day 3: Tam Coc – Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi – Ba Be National Park.

Leaving hotel, we will travel northwards along national road 3.

Stop in Thai Nguyen City after about 2 hours drive for visiting the Museum of Ethnology. Leaving Thai Nguyen and continue the road ride to Cho Moi townlet for lunch break and then continue the road ride to Na Phac junction. Visit a local Dzao village before arriving hotel around late afternoon.

Dinner & overnight in a stilt house (homestay).

Day 5: Ba Be lakes boat trip. Travel to Bao Lac, Cao Bang.

After breakfast,  we will take a short walk to the boat pier and then enjoy the whole morning mainly on boat for exploring the pure nature of Ba Be lake and national park with some highlights including visiting to Dau Dang Waterfall and Puong Cave.

Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant on spot (simple).

After lunch, transfer uphill for 160 km to Bao Lac with several stops along the way for admiring spectacular scenery of the western part of Cao Bang Province and paying visit to villages of the Nung peoples.

Arriving in Bao Lac in late afternoon, check-in hotel. Dinner and overnight in a local hotel in Bao Lac.

Day 6: Bao Lac -  Meo Vac, Ha Giang.

Leaving Bao Lac at about 09.00 for a drive along the Gam River for an hour before turning right and traveling uphill to the higher land, heading north to Meo Vac Townlet of Ha Giang Province. Stop along the way for visiting several small hamlets of the Nung, Tay and H’mong ethnic peoples scaterring along the Nho Que River. Arriving in Meo Vac at about 13.00, having lunch and check in hotel for a short rest.

Spend the the afternoon by walking along the stunning Nho Que River, admiring scenery of the spectacular Ma Pi Leng Pass, paying visit to villages of the H’mong, Zao and Red Lolo ethnic peoples.

Dinner and overnight in Meo Vac.

Day 7: Visit Meo Vac market. Travel to Dong Van, Yen Minh.

Get up early and visit Meo Vac market, the biggest hill tribe market in the area. Meo Vac is famous for its “Cow Market” where 300-400 cattle are sold every Sunday in northern Vietnam’s largest bovine exchange.
The sellers, who can earn tens of millions of dong per animal, always invite the buyers to enjoy local wine after the transactions.

Leaving Meo Vac, you will enjoy one of the most stunning landscapes of the northern mountain – The Ma Pi Leng Pass. Visit a small H’mong hamlet, set amongst the rock field featuring the very tough life on this limestone highland before continuing along the road 4c to Dong Van, the northernmost townlet of Vietnam. Walk along the ancient street of Dong Van before having lunch.

After lunch, enjoy an hour drive to Lung Cu, the northernmost commune of Vietnam, walking to visit a Red Lolo village for half an hour and then driving downhill 24 km to Xa Phin to pay visiting to the famous historical site of the Vuong Family’s Palace famous for its mixture of H’mong architectural style.

Continue our road to Yen Minh where will spend the night.

Day 8: Yen Minh – Nam An Lake.

Leaving Yen Minh for a drive up and downhill over the spectacular Yen Minh mountain pass with some stops for overviewing scenery and visiting a Red Zao village.

Leaving the main road, crossing the Nho Que river by suspension bridge and walk along the bank of the river for an hour through a H’mong village before taking the road ride again to Quan Ba Townlet.

Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant en route.

In the afternoon, we will take another short walk in a H’mong village before driving downhill all the way to Ha Giang Township and onto Nam An eco spot.

Day 9: Nam An Lake – Hanoi.

Full day road trip from Nam An to Ha Noi along national road 2 with several stops and break along the way.

Arrive Hanoi in the afternoon at about 05.00 PM. Check-in hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi – Halong bay. Cruise and kayaking tour.

Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. North Vietnam adventure holidays: Travel Hanoi Mai Chau Yen Bai Lai Chau Sapa Lao Cai Halong bay (13 days)

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau. Mai Chau valley trek.

Transfer to Mai Chau. Mai Chau is in a valley just over the biggest hump, about 10km from the Song Da river and only 150 metres above sea level. The village, nestled between two towering cliffs and surrounded by emerald green paddies, is an enchanting sight as you wind down the cliff side. On the way, trek some kilometers through ethnic villages (Muong and Thai). Lunch will be providd in Mai Chau. Dinner and overnight in Lac village.

Day 2: Continue trekking Mai Chau. Travel to Suoi Lon.  

After breakfast, transfer 17 kilometers then we start trekking in an area of inhabitants of ethnic minority Thai, Muong the villages of Cun Pheo and Hang Kia. On arriving at Bai Sang wharf, we will take a boat to cruise on the Black river. Arrive at Suoi Lon for overnight in Muong’ Village.

Day 3: Thai and Muong villages trek. Travel to Thu Cuc.

Transfer to Ta Sua plateau, you can contemplate the highland scenery of it. Visit some villages of ethnic Black H’mong and discover the daily life and custom of local inhabitants here, especially you can enjoy the local specialties: Ta Sua Tea and agriculture products then come back the mountain town for lunch. After having lunch, visit the local market, the handicraft and farming products made by many ethnics are available here. Then continue to trek over 5 Kilometers through villages of Thai and Muong village. During the trekking you can take a rest and enjoy the local wine distillated by ethnics. Transfer to Thu cuc. Overnight in Muong Village.

Day 4: Trekking hilltribe villages. Travel to Nghia Lo.

Trek through Thai, Dao, Mong visit the water wheel. It is used to scoop the water for the rice fields near the streams. Lunch will be provided en route. Continue going to Nghia Lo through the direction of Lung Lo pass. Arrive at Nghia Lo, check in hotel then take a visit the local market at the moment of decline of day.

Day 5: Continue hiking. Travel to Tu Le.

Leave Nghia Lo for the itinerary, trek and visit some villages of ethnic’s minorities along the road: black Dzao, H’mong, white Thai, etc. They are very kind, honest and plain. Arrive at Tu Le village, dinner and overnight in house on stilt of inhabitants here. Day 6: Hiking Yen Bai. Travel to Than Uyen, Lai Chau.

Take leave of inhabitants of Tu Le, it takes 2 Km to village center, you can visit lots of activity on the early market day and it is typical colorful ethnics of this high mountain regions. Transfer to the the footing of Kau Pha pass for us to start trekking about 9 Km through the forest and ethnic villages. This trail runs parallel with the famous and beautiful Kau Pha pass. We finish the trail at the peak of the pass (1800m above sea level). Transfer to Mu Cang Chai for lunch. Visit the local market and go on to Than Uyen. Arrive at Than Uyen, check in local guest house.

Day 7: Than Uyen – Binh Lu – Sapa. Sapa village trek.

Transfer to Sapa, on the way, we can take trek to visit lots of beautiful villages of ethnic. Especially, you can meet the most typical ethics as: Lao, Lu (Xa Pho). They wear the long traditional and colorful costumes with jeweler hand made. Moreover, you can discover the kind face in black dyed teeth of ethnics here. Arrive at  Sa Pa. Check in and rest of the day at leisure or visit Sa Pa famous tourist town in Northern Vietnam . You can visit and go shopping, market for buying souvenirs such as handicraft made by ethics, ethics’ traditional costumes, etc before ending the days in North West Vietnam.

Day 8: Trekking Sapa (Sapa – Tavan – Seomity).

After breakfast, you will go South by car toward Muong Hoa valley. Your trek will begin from Tavan village of Giay minority. The first day trek will be mostly uphill. Whenever you stop for a rest, you will be able to enjoy valley view. Before noon, you stop again at a nice spot for lunch. The trek will be softer in the afternoon. But the scenery becomes even more beautiful. You pass by Seomity village of Black Hmong minority before you arrive in a campsite, which locates nearby a river outside the village. While porters put up tents and cook dinner, you can take a walk to stretch the legs.

Day 9: Continue trekking Sapa (Seomity – Den Thang – Ta Trung Ho).

The trek today takes you through beautiful rice paddies and over old suspension bridges. You will trek on small trail sneaking through rainforest. You arrive in Den Thang village of Black Hmong by noon. Here you stop for lunch either nearby a river or in a local school according to the weather. After lunch, the trek wills becomes tough on tinny footpath going up and down, which requires some concentration. You will reach to Ta Trung Ho village of Red Dao minority where you spend the night in local house. Both the valley and the village have just received foreign visitors. The night will be even more interesting when you are in the wonderful hospitable atmosphere of the Red Dao.

Day 10: Trek & return Sapa town. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

You are now at the fringe of the rain forest by the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina with its 3143 m, is located in this mountain range. You will start the trek today by ascending to Nam Toong village of Red Dao minority. Here your lunch will be prepared in a local school.
In the afternoon, before descending to Ban Ho, you can make a stop by a waterfall to refresh. On the last hours you can enjoy the valley one final time whilst trekking up to Su Pan, where your car takes you on the journey back to Sapa befor transfer to Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 11: Arrival Hanoi. Travel to Halong Bay. Cruise and kayaking tour.

Upon your arrival at Hanoi Railways Station, you will be greeted by Lotussia Travel local guide and driver then transferred to a small hotel in town for breakfast and quick shower. Depart to Halong Bay.

Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk. Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Take a kayaking trip to explore the Bay or enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit. Watch the sunset over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 12: Continue cruising and canoeing Halong bay.

Breakfast on board. Then we continue kayaking zigzagging through many small islets of different shapes. We will kayak to the Black Grottoe and The lake of Three Grottoe. The journey is really wonderfull and adventurous! Back to the support boat for our lunch which will be provided on board.

In the afternoon, we cruise towards the Islands of Rocks and visit the Fishermen floating village. We will kayak in Ba Men temple area which is also a important highlight of our journey. Swimming at the sandy Three Peach beach if weather permits and enjoy the great view of Halong bay sunset. Dinner and Overnight on board.

Day 13: Halong Bay – Hanoi.

Breakfast on board. Then we continue our cruise in Halong bay before going back to shore. Arrive at Ha long wharf about 11h00 and take our car for journey back to Hanoi.

Arrive in Hanoi at around 15h00. Enjoy a short cyclo excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sales at these places.

North Vietnam adventure vacations: Travel Hanoi Lao Cai Cao Son Sapa Halong Bay (11 days)

Day 1: Hanoi – Laocai by train.

In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for overnight train to Laocai. Departure at 21:00 (TBA).

Day 2: Arrive Lao Cai. Travel to Cao Son. Trek Cao Son villages.

Arrive Lao Cai Railway Station early this morning. You will be met up by Lotussia Travel local team and transferred to a local restaurant for breakfast. After few minutes resting, the driver will take you to Muong Khuong district, via tea plantation and forest of pine. You might encounter Giay tribe in their traditional dress in Ban Lau or Thanh Binh. Reaching Cao Son about 10.am. Check in Cao Son lodge and relax.

In the afternoon you will commence your walk to the most secluded yet peaceful village – Tin Thang. In this village, people still distill the wine from corn, making bacon in the most basic way and offering special corn cake to anyone who drop by their house.

Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Visit Cao Son market. Travel to Sapa.

After having breakfast in the Cao son lodge, you will walk on a good paved road with local ethnic minority people to go to Cao Son market. Pine trees forests and villages surround the tinny market. Flower H’mong, Tu Di, Tay, Giay ethnic minorities come to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. People coming to the market not only for selling or buying something but also importantly to meet friends, relative and to sip some cups of wine until the dawn comes. No where else but here, Flower H’mong people greet you with a temptation of corn wine and endless hospitality. After exploring the market, you will be able to visit a village of Flower H’mong or a village of Tay people. You will then head back to Muong Khuong and have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, you get on the car for journey to Sapa.

Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4: Trekking Sapa (Tavan village).

After breakfast, start your Sapa trek through the market and leave the busy town behind. After a couple of minutes, you follow a road going downhill to Cat Cat village. You will stop by a waterfall and a hydroelectric station for a while before you trek on a dirt trail through rice paddy terraces. You also will enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. You eventually arrive in Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest while you are served lunch nearby the river.

After lunch, you head Muong Hoa valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Tavan village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route. You will spend the night in local house of Giay minority. You will be able to take a walk to enjoy the valley view as well as swim in the river nearby.

Day 5: Continue trekking Sapa (Tavan – Seomity)

After having breakfast, you start today’s trek, which is mostly uphill until lunchtime. Whenever you stop for a rest, you will be able to enjoy valley view. Before noon, you stop again at a nice spot for lunch.

Day 7: Continue trekking Sapa hilltribe villages (Ta Trung Ho – Thanh Phu)

You are now at the fringe of the rain forest by the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina with its 3143 m, is located in this mountain range. After lunchtime, you descend to the valley where locates My Son village of Xa Pho minority, one of the smallest groups ethnic in Northern Vietnam. From there you take a short walk to Thanh Phu village of Tay minority. Here you spend the night in traditional house of the Tay. You can take a walk to explore local daily life while your dinner will be served with Vietnamese dishes.

Day 8: Continue hiking Sapa villages (Thanh Phu – Su Pan). Return Sapa town. Travel to Laocai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

Today’s trek is relatively short compared to other days. On the last day of the trek you will cross several suspension bridges. You will be able to stop by a waterfall and have time to swim in the river before arriving in Ban Ho village of Tay minority. Here you stop for lunch in a traditional Tay house.

In the afternoon, you start climbing uphill. On the last hours you can enjoy the valley one final time while heading to Su Pan. Here your car takes you on the journey back to Sapa where you can have a short rest before travelling to Laocai to take night train back to Hanoi.

Day 9: Arrive Hanoi. Travel to Halong bay. Boat junk cruise with kayaking tour.

Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, transfer to a local restaurant in town for breakfast.

Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Day 10: Continue cruising and kayaking Halong bay.

Breakfast on board. Then we continue cruise. Lunch will be provided on board. In the afternoon, enjoy one more hour kayaking towards the Islands of Rocks or Ba Men temple (kayaking routes may change due to weather or other circumstances. Dinner and Overnight on board.

Day 11: Halong bay – Hanoi.

Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons.

Disembark at the dock at Halong City at 11:00 and return to Hanoi.

Vietnam soft adventure tour: Travel Hanoi Mai Chau Tam Coc Sapa Halong Bay Saigon Mui Ne (13 days)

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau.

Depart for Hoa Binh province and up then to Mai Chau valley. This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies.

Arrive in Mai Chau around late afternoon. Check into a local stilt house for dinner & overnight.

After dinner, assist to the traditional music and dance show which is performed by The Thai young girls and boys. They all come from this village. Try also some rice alcohol made of traditional plants and local sticky rice.

Day 2: Hiking Mai Chau. Travel to Tam Coc – “Halong bay in-land”.

Leave the village for a half day walking around. We will pass many different Thai hamlets, through rice fields, hill sides…We will stop by some local houses to talk with local people to understand their customs and culture.

Lunch will be provided in a local stilt house.

After lunch enjoy a four hour drive to Tam Coc, also called “Ha Long Bay on land”, or the “Vietnam’s second nicest grotto” (to Huong Tich) for its poetic and inspirational natural scenery.

Arrive in Tam Coc around late afternoon. Check-in hotel. Overnight in Tam Coc.

Day 3: Tam Coc sampan cruise and countryside bicycle tour. Travel back Hanoi.

After breakfast, we will take a two hour boat trip around natural caves and grottoes, admire the wonderful landscape of the tourist area.  The trip in Tam Coc is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local people come to harvest the water rice planted along the river, or when they transplant some seedling for the next crops.

Cycle along the village roads with beautiful sightseeing and friendly local people. Arriving in Hoa Lu, we will visit Hoa Lu – The Acient Capital and the remaining two temples of Dinh King & Le King.

Lunch in a local restaurant then travel back to Hanoi.

In the evening, attend to the water puppet show, one of famous Vietnamese traditional art.

Day 4: Hanoi city tour. Overnight train to Lao Cai.

Upon your arrival in Hanoi, transfer directly to Noibai airport for a two-hour flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

Welcome at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh city by Lotussia Travel local team and then escorted to your hotel in town. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 10: Saigon city tour. Travel to Mui Ne, Phan Thiet. Beach resort.

Enjoy a half day city tour tour with Ho Chi Minh City major highlights such as the Post Office, cathedral, Reunification palace, centre town, then continue towards Cholon, visit Thien Hau temple and Binh Tay market.

In the afternoon, transfer to Mui Ne, Phan Thiet (without guide). The scenic 200km drive north on Highway One passes through the bustling city of Bien Hoa before cutting through dense rubber plantations.

Arrive in Muine and check into resort.

Overnight in Muine.

Day 11 & 12: Phan Thiet beach resort.

Full day free at leisure to enjoy the prime beach of Muine or just relax on the hotel/resort poolside (no guide; no car).

Your lunch will be provided near a waterfall.

In the afternoon, we will take another trail sneaking through mountain. The scenery is also spectacular. Take a short break upon arriving Y Linh Ho village before climbing up to the main road where our vehicle will be waiting for us for the journey back to Sapa.

Day 4: Continue trekking Sapa. Travel to Laocai. Overnight train back to Hanoi .

The morning will be free at leisure.

In the afternoon, start a short walk downhill through beautiful orchids gardens and pine forests. You will then reach a small village of Suoi Ho is inhabited by Hmong ethnic minority. Their house normally built of land has no windows because of the cold in the winter. You will then continue your walk through rice paddy fields and spectacular scenery to Ma tra. It is possible to stop by a primary school for a quick visit.

Then get on our vehicle again and travel to Laocai for overnight train back to Hanoi.

Transfer (approx 2 hrs) to My Tho to avoid the teeming traffic. My Tho is the gateway to the Mekong Delta and a wonderful place to start our ride. In My Tho, unload the bikes and start to pedal on the beautiful and quiet country lanes along the Tien River to Cai Be. Along the way, pass through the heart of rural Mekong along narrow lanes, passing banana plantations, sugarcane fields and the lush rural landscape of the Delta.

After Cai Be, cross on Dinh Khao ferry to Cho Lach. After the ferry, cycle for a couple of kilometres and then shuttle the rest way to Can Tho.

Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 9: Continue cycling. Travel back to Ho Chi Minh city.

After enjoying an early morning breakfast visit the Cai Rang floating market, weave through teeming early morning market bustle along the banks of an active riverfront. Ride on a narrow paved road to Phong Dien floating market. Absorb the sights of endless cottage industries, timber merchants, coconut shredders, small docks loading/unloading rice, tiny vibrant markets. Continue by bike on the narrow lane to explore the hidden backwaters of the Mekong Delta.

Lunch in a local restaurant in town.

In the afternoon return to Saigon.

Day 10: Travel to Mui Ne, Phan Thiet. Beach resort.

Travel to Phan Thiet (Muine). The scenic 200km drive north on Highway One passes through the bustling city of Bien Hoa before cutting through dense rubber plantations.

Arrive in Muine and check into resort. Overnight in Muine.

Day 11 & 12: Mui Ne beach resort.

Full day free at leisure to enjoy the prime beach of Muine or just relax on the hotel/resort poolside. Optional golf course or beach activities can be arranged on the spot with hotel/resort. Please check with your hotel/resort staff for more information.

Overnight in Muine.

Day 13: Travel back to Ho Chi Minh city.

Free at leisure until transfer back to Ho Chi Minh.
